How Acupuncture Helps
Acupuncture for fertility is a powerful and effective therapy helping couples become pregnant by addressing a wide range of women’s health and fertility issues.
Acupuncture may be used alone or in conjunction with Western Medicine.
Acupuncture has been shown to naturally:
- Balance both male and female hormone levels so the body produces the necessary reproductive hormones for conception.
- Regulate a female’s menstrual cycle by enhancing the communication between the brain and the ovaries to promote ovulation and normal hormone production.
- Increase nutrient rich blood flow to the uterus and ovaries which can improve the chances of implantation. Also, improves egg quality and follicle count.
- Optimize sperm health by increasing sperm count and improving motility.
- Reduces stress and anxiety, and promoting relaxation which is essential for couples trying to conceive. When you are stressed, your body produces the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline which negatively affect your reproductive hormones. Chronic stress can impact a woman’s menstrual cycle and impair ovulation; for men, it can reduce testosterone levels and sperm quality.
- Reduces the risk of miscarriage and helps to support the growth of your baby.
- Increases success rate of IVF and IUI and it’s a pleasant way to supplement western fertility treatments.
- Relaxing and non-invasive treatments with limited or no side-effects.
